AMUSE Condemns Bill 62

As many of you are aware, the Quebec provincial government passed Bill 62, “An Act to foster adherence to State religious neutrality and, in particular, to provide a framework for requests for accommodations on religious grounds in certain bodies,” on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

This law, ostensibly aimed at ensuring the religiously neutrality of the state, bans face coverings in the public service.…

I’m in the third year of my undergrad, and in the past I have worked as a front desk employee and a Rez Lifer. I became involved with AMUSE last year during the strike, and since then have enjoyed dedicating myself to labour rights and other on-campus activism.
