Floor Fellows’ Negotiations Update – New Tentative Agreement Reached!

Tentative Unit B Collective Agreement Reached!

On March 22nd and 23rd AMUSE representatives and McGill representatives met to try and resolve the remaining issues for the Floor Fellows’ Collective Agreement (CA). The meetings also discussed all back pay cases with the CNESST (the Commission which deals with labour issues in Quebec), which have been filed due to a lack of hourly wage for Floor Fellows since 2013.

A tentative agreement on all issues has been reached!

Current AMUSE members will have the chance to vote on the contents of the Collective Agreement at a General Assembly during the first week of April – we’ll let you know the date and time as soon as possible.

Past floor fellows who submitted a complaint with the CNESST will be allowed to vote by mail on whether or not they approve the settlement. If you submitted a complaint with the CNT as a floor fellow in 2013-14, 2014-15, or 2015-16, please let us know if your address has changed as the vote will be conducted by mail.

The Union is recommending a “yes” vote on both issues.

More information will be released as each issue is voted on.
