Hey Team,
Hope everything is going well with everyone, and that the rhythms of fall are starting to settle in! For your entertainment, here’s a video of a baby bear playing with a golf flag, and updates from the office!

Floor Fellow AGM update
Floor Fellows held their second AGM on August 29th, which was exceptionally well attended and lead to productive discussions as well as the voting through of the bargaining priorities with minor adjustments. We also elected new representatives as follows: Julia Hensley and Petey Griffith as Board Representatives; Sara Sebti and Evan McIlroy as Bargaining Representatives; and Christina Clemente as VP Floor Fellow. If you have any questions, or would like to see minutes from the AGM, feel free to email Christina at [email protected].
Labour for Palestine Reading Group
Following the AMUSE Board of Representatives’ statement of solidarity with Gaza and commitment to self-education on the conflict, AMUSE is forming a reading group on labour and Palestine. If you’re interested in joining or would like more information, email [email protected].
Bargaining Surveys
Unit A’s collective agreement with McGill, which covers the working conditions of temporary full-time and part-time support employees at the university, is set to expire in April 2015. So after over two years with the current contract, AMUSE is preparing to bargain a second contract with McGill! We hope to make significant gains and use the negotiations as an opportunity to improve your job and the jobs of all casual support staff at McGill. However, the bargaining team needs everyone’s help - we need to know what you would like changed, and what your priorities are.
Please take a few minutes to fill out our bargaining survey. It won’t take long, but will go a long way in giving your bargaining team a strong mandate and a clear picture of what you want to fight for!
